Lightisblinking:
Enginemisfireisoccurringwhichcoulddamageyourcatalyticconverter.
Youshoulddriveinamoderatefashion(avoidheavyaccelerationand
deceleration)andhaveyourvehicleservicedatthefirstavailable
opportunity.
Underenginemisfireconditions,excessiveexhausttemperatures
coulddamagethecatalyticconverter,thefuelsystem,interior
floorcoveringsorothervehiclecomponents,possiblycausingafire.
Air bag readiness
Momentarilyilluminateswhenthe
ignitionisturnedON.Ifthelight
failstoilluminate,continuestoflash
orremainson,havethesystem
servicedimmediately.
Safety belt
Momentarilyilluminateswhenthe
ignitionisturnedtotheONposition
toremindyoutofastenyoursafety
belts.Formoreinformation,referto
theSeatingandsafetyrestraints
chapter.
Brake system warning
Momentarilyilluminateswhenthe
ignitionisturnedtotheONposition
toindicateasystemcheck.Also
illuminatesiftheparkingbrakeis
engaged.Ifthebrakewarninglamp

doesnotilluminateatthesetimes,seekserviceimmediately.Illumination
afterreleasingtheparkingbrakeindicateslowbrakefluidlevelandthe
brakesystemshouldbeinspectedimmediately.
Shift indicator light (if equipped)
Tomaximizefueleconomy,theshift
indicatorlightilluminateswhenthe
manualtransmissionshouldbe
shiftedtothenexthighestgear.
