Allowthevehicletositforatleasteighthourswithoutstartingthe
engine.Then,starttheengineandcompletetheabovedrivingcycle.The
enginemustwarmuptoitsnormaloperatingtemperature.Oncestarted,
donotturnofftheengineuntiltheabovedrivingcycleiscomplete.
BULBS
Replacing exterior bulbs
Itisagoodideatochecktheoperationofthefollowinglightsfrequently:
Headlamps
Turnsignals
Foglamps(ifequipped)
High-mountbrakelamp
Taillamps
Brakelamps
Backuplamps
Licenseplatelamp
Hazardflashers
Donotremovelampbulbsunlesstheywillbereplacedimmediately.Ifa
bulbisremovedforanextendedperiodoftime,contaminantsmayenter
thelamphousingsandaffectperformance.
Replacing headlamp bulbs
1.
MakesurethattheheadlampsareturnedOFF.
2.
Openthehoodanddisconnecttheheadlampwiringsocketfromthe
in-lineconnector.Thiswillmakeiteasiertochangethebulb.
3.
Removetheprotectivedustshield
fromthehousingbyturningthe
dustshieldcounterclockwise(when
viewedfromtherear).
4.
Disconnecttheelectricalconnectorfromthebulbbypullingrearward.
