Cleaning the exterior lamps
Washwiththesamedetergentastheexteriorofyourvehicle.If
necessary,useatarremoversuchasFordExtraStrengthTarandRoad
OilRemover(B7A-19520–AA).
Toavoidscratchingthelamps,donotuseadrypapertowel,chemical
solventsorabrasivecleaners.
Cleaning the windshield, wiper blades and rear window
Ifthewiperbladesdonotwipeproperly,cleanthewiperbladerubber
elementwithundilutedwindshieldwashersolutionoramilddetergent.
Toavoiddamagingtheblades,donotusefuel,kerosene,paintthinneror
othersolvents.
Ifthewiperstilldoesnotwipeproperly,thiscouldbecausedby
substancesonthewindshieldorrearwindowsuchastreesapandsome
hotwaxtreatmentsusedbycommercialcarwashes.Cleantheoutsideof
thewindshieldorrearwindowwithanon-abrasivecleanersuchasFord
Ultra-ClearSprayGlassCleaner,(E4AZ-19C507–AA),availablefromyour
FordDealer.Donotuseabrasivecleansersonglassastheymaycause
scratches.Thewindshieldorrearwindowiscleanifbeadsdonotform
whenyourinseitwithwater.Thewindshield,rearwindowandwiper
bladesshouldbecleanedonaregularbasis,andbladesorrubber
elementsreplacedwhenworn.
Cleaning the engine
Enginesaremoreefficientwhentheyarecleanbecausegreaseanddirt
buildupkeeptheenginewarmerthannormal.Whenwashing:

Takecarewhenusingapowerwashertocleantheengine.Thehigh
pressurefluidcouldpenetratethesealedpartsandcausedamage.
Donotspraywithcoldwatertoavoidcrackingtheengineblockor
otherenginecomponents.
Neverapplyanythingtothedrivebelt(includingbeltdressing).
