sparks,orlitcigarettes.Anexplosioncouldresultininjuryor
vehicledamage.
Batteriescontainsulfuricacidwhichcanburnskin,eyes,and
clothing,ifcontacted.
Donotattempttopush-startyourvehicle.Automatic
transmissionsdonothavepush-startcapability;also,the
catalyticconvetermaybecomedamaged.
Preparing your vehicle
Whenthebatteryisdisconnectedoranewbatteryisinstalled,the
transmissionmustrelearnitsadaptivestrategy.Asaresultofthis,the
transmissionmayshiftfirmly.Thisoperationisconsiderednormaland
willnotaffectfunctionordurabilityofthetransmission.Overtime,the
adaptivelearningprocesswillfullyupdatetransmissionoperationtoits
optimumshiftfeel.

Useonlya12–voltsupplytostartyourvehicle.
2.
Donotdisconnectthebatteryofthedisabledvehicleasthiscould
damagethevehicle’selectricalsystem.
3.
Parktheboostervehicleclosetothehoodofthedisabledvehicle
makingsurethetwovehiclesdonottouch.Settheparkingbrakeon
bothvehiclesandstayclearoftheenginecoolingfanandothermoving
parts.
4.
Checkallbatteryterminalsandremoveanyexcessivecorrosionbefore
youattachthebatterycables.Ensurethatventcapsaretightandlevel.
5.
Turntheheaterfanoninbothvehiclestoprotectanyelectrical
surges.Turnallotheraccessoriesoff.
