Head Restraint Adjustment
o Do not adjust the head restraint
height whilst the vehicle is in
motion.

For greater convenience, the entire
seatback anad seat cushion may be
folded down and up.
Lock Knob

Toraisetheheadrestraint,pullitup.To
lower it, push it down whilst pressing
the lock knob. For maximum effective-
ness in the event of an accident, the
restraint must be adjusted so that the
restraintisapproximatelyatthelevelof
theseatoccupant'seyes.Therestraint
must never be so adjusted that it is
centred about the level of the seat
occupant's neck.

o Formaximumeffectivenessincase
of an accident the head restraint
should be adjusted so the middle
oftheheadrestraintisatthesame
heightasthetopoftheoccupant's
eyes.Forthisreason,theuseofa
cushionthatholdsthebodyaway
from the seatback should not be
recommended.
o Do not operate vehicle with the
headrestraintsremovedasinjury
totheoccupantsmayoccurinthe
event of an accident. Head re-
straints may provide protection
against neck injuries when prop-
erlyadjusted.

Move the rear seat to the rearmost
position.
2. Remove the headrests.
