ACOUSTIC WARNING SOUND

The acoustic warning chime sounds
when the tail lights are on and the door
indriversideisopen.Thispreventsthe
battery from discharging when the car
is left with the tail lights on. The chime
soundsuntilthetaillightsareturnedoff.

This light illuminates when the engine
has started and goes off after a few
seconds.Ifitlightsupwhilsttheengine
is running, it indicates that water has
accumulatedinsidethefuelfilter.Ifthis
happens, remove the water from the
fuel filter. (Refer to "6-32 page")
The indicator light illuminates amber
whentheignitionswitchisplacedatthe
"ON"position.Theenginecanbestarted
after the pre-heat indicator light goes
off.Theilluminatingtimevarieswiththe
watertemperature,airtemperatureand
batterycondition.

PARKING START WARNING
SOUND (Not all models)
Ifthevehicleisdrivenat6mph(10km/h)
formorethan2~3seconds,thewarning
chimewillsoundcontinuouslywhenthe
parkingbrakeengaged.
NOTE:
If the engine were not started 10
secondsafterthepreheatingiscom-
pleted, turn the ignition key once
more to the "LOCK" position, and
thentothe"ON"position,inorderto
preheatagain.
