qBrakeSystemWarningLight
Depressthebrakepedalandthenfirmly
pulltheparkingbrakeleverfullyupwards
withagreateramountofforcethanis
requiredsothatthevehicleholdsinthe
stationaryposition.
Thiswarninghasthefollowingfunctions:
Parkingbrakewarning
Thelightcomesonwhentheparking
brakeisappliedwiththeignitionswitch
intheSTARTorONposition.Itgoesoff
whentheparkingbrakeisfullyreleased.
Lowbrakefluidlevelwarning
Ifthelightstaysonaftertheparkingbrake
isfullyreleased,youmayhaveabrake
problem.
Releasingtheparkingbrake
Depressthebrakepedalandpullthe
parkingbrakeleverupwards,thenpress
thereleasebutton.Whileholdingthe
button,lowertheparkingbrakeleverall
thewaydowntothereleasedposition.
Drivetothesideoftheroadandparkoff
theright-of-way.
Youmaynoticethatthepedalisharderto
pushorthatitmaygoclosertothefloor.
Ineithercase,itwilltakelongertostop
thevehicle.

Withtheenginestopped,checkthe
brakefluidlevelimmediatelyandadd
fluidasrequired(page8-21).
2.
Afteraddingfluid,checkthelight
again.
Ifthewarninglightremainson,orifthe
brakesdonotoperateproperly,donot
drivethevehicle.Haveittowedtoan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer.
Evenifthelightgoesouthaveyourbrake
systeminspectedassoonaspossibleby
anAuthorizedMazdaDealer.
