GCWR(GrossCombinedWeightRating)isthemaximumallowableweightofthe
vehicleandtheloadedtrailer-includingallcargoandpassengers-thatthevehiclecan
handlewithoutriskingdamage.(Important:Thetowingvehicle'sbrakingsystemisrated
foroperationatGVWR,notatGCWR.Separatefunctionalbrakesshouldbeusedforsafe
controloftowedvehiclesandfortrailersweighingmorethan1,500lbs).TheGCWmust
neverexceedtheGCWR.
MaximumLoadedTrailerWeightisthehighestpossibleweightofafullyloadedtrailer
thevehiclecantow.Itassumesavehiclewithonlymandatoryoptions,nocargo(internalor

external),atongueloadof10 15%(conventionaltrailer)orkingpinweightof15 25%
