MazdaDealerisrecommendedtoprevent
damagetotheadvancedkey.Ifreplacing
thebatterybyyourself,followthe
instructionbelow.
CAUTION
Makesurethebatteryisinstalled
withthecorrectpolefacingupward.
Batteryleakagecouldoccurifitis
notinstalledcorrectly.

Replacingtheadvancedkeybattery
1.
Pullouttheauxiliarykey.
Whenreplacingthebattery,be
carefulnottobendtheelectrical
terminalsorgetoilonthem.Alsobe
carefulnottogetdirtinthe
transmitterasitcouldbedamaged.
Thereisthedangerofexplosionif
thebatteryisnotcorrectlyreplaced.

Replaceonlywiththesametype
battery(CR2025orequivalent).
Disposeofusedbatteriesaccording
tothefollowinginstructions.

Releasethecapusingaflathead
screwdriver,thenrotateandremovethe
cap.
Insulatetheplusandminus
l
terminalsofthebatteryusing
cellophaneorequivalenttape.
Neverdisassemble.
l
Neverthrowthebatteryintofire
l
orwater.
Neverdeformorcrush.
l
Thefollowingconditionsindicatethatthe
batterypowerislow:
Cap
TheKEYindicatorlight(green)flashes
l
intheinstrumentclusterwhenthe
engineisturnedoff.
Thesystemdoesnotoperateandthe
l
CAUTION
operationindicatorlightdoesnotflash
whenthebuttonsarepressed.
Donotturnthecapexcessively.The
capmaybedamaged.
Thesystem'soperationalrangeis
reduced.
