ShifttheshiftlevertothePposition
(Automatictransmission).
2.
TurntheignitionswitchfromtheON
positiontotheACCposition.
NOTE
Whentheengineisturnedoffandthe
ignitionswitchitturnedfromtheACC
positiontotheLOCKposition,the
KEYindicatorlight(green)inthe
instrumentclusterflashesforabout30
secondsifthebatterypowerofthe
advancedkeyislow.Replacethe
batterywithanewone.

TurntheignitionswitchfromtheACC
positiontotheSTARTpositionand
hold(upto10secondsatatime)until
theenginestarts.
RefertoBatteryReplacement(page
3-6).

PushinthestartknobfromtheACC
positionandturnittotheLOCK
position.
CAUTION
Don'ttrythestarterformorethan10
secondsatatime.Iftheenginestallsor
failstostart,wait10secondsbefore
tryingagain.Otherwise,youmay

damagethestarteranddrainthebattery.
Whenleavingthevehicle,makesure
theignitionswitchisturnedtothe
LOCKposition.

Afterstartingtheengine,letitidlefor
about10seconds.
NOTE
Inextremelycoldweather,below

hasnotbeendriveninseveraldays,
lettheenginewarmupwithout
operatingtheaccelerator.
Whethertheengineiscoldorwarm,
itshouldbestartedwithoutuseof
theaccelerator.
