Remove front ashtray only with vehicle
standing still. Set the parking brake to se-
cure vehicle from movement. Move the gear
selector lever to position N. With gear selec-
tor lever in position N, turn off the engine.

Secure vehicle from movement by set-
ting the parking brake. Move the gear
selector lever to position N.

Compartment for cup holder

Button for disengaging ashtray
Now you have more room to remove
the insert.

Push front of sliding compartment 1.
Opening ashtray
The cup holder slides out.

Push sliding button 1 to the right.
̈
Briefly touch cover plate.
Closing cup holder
The ashtray is disengaged and slides
out a short way.
The ashtray opens automatically.

Push sliding compartment 1 back un-
til it engages.
̈ Remove insert from ashtray frame.
Reinstalling the ashtray insert

Install insert by pushing back into the
frame until it engages.
