Thoroughly dry the convertible top and top

storage area, prior to leaving the top lowered for an

extendedperiodoftime.Thiswillhelppreventpossible

mildewbuild-up.

The convertible top does not provide the structural

protectionthatareinforcedmetalroofdoes,andthe

fabrictopcannotbeexpectedtopreventtheejection

oftheoccupantsofavehicleinacollision.Therefore

itisimportantthatalloccupantsweartheirseatbelts

at all times when riding in a convertible. Studies

haveshownthatitisgenerallysafertoremaininside

avehicleduringacollision,thantobeejectedfrom

thevehicle.

CAUTION!

To avoid damage to the convertible top or its com-

ponents,yourvehicleisequippedwithafeaturethat

preventsconvertibletopoperationatspeedsover10

mph(16km/h).
