14. EngineTemperatureWarningLight
This light warns of an overheated engine condi-
tion.Iftheengineiscriticallyhot,awarningchime
willsound10times.Afterthechimeturnsoff,the
enginewillstillbecriticallyhotuntilthelightgoesout.
The light also will turn on when the parking brake is
appliedwiththeignitionswitchintheONposition.
15. SeatBeltReminderLight
When the ignition switch is first turned ON, this
lightwillcomeonforaboutsixseconds.Achime
willsoundifyouhavenotpulledtheshoulderbelt
outoftheretractor.Thisisareminderto“buckleup”.If
youdonotbuckleup,thelightwillremainon.
NOTE: Thislightshowsonlythattheparkingbrakeis
applied.Itdoesnotshowthedegreeofbrakeapplication.

ChargingSystemLight
Thislightshowsthestatusoftheelectricalcharg-
ingsystem.Thelightshouldcomeonbrieflywhen
the ignition switch is first turned ON and remain on
brieflyasabulbcheck.Ifthelightstaysonorcomeson
whiledriving,itmeansthatthereisaproblemwiththe
chargingsystem.ObtainSERVICEIMMEDIATELY.
16.
TheftAlarmLight—IfEquipped
Thislightwillflashrapidlyforseveralsecondswhenthe
alarm system is arming. The light will begin to flash
slowlyindicatingthatthesystemisarmed.(Seepage35
formoreinformation.)
