UNDERSTANDINGTHEFEATURESOFYOURVEHICLE
TOOPENANDCLOSETHEHOOD
Toopenthehood,twolatchesmustbereleased.Firstpull
thehoodreleaseleverlocatedundertheleftsideofthe
instrumentpanel.
Thenmovethesafetycatchlocatedunderthefrontedge
ofthehood,nearthecenterandslightlytotheright,and
raisethehood.
Usethehoodproprodclippedtothedriver’ssideofthe
engine compartment to secure the hood in the open
position.Placethehoodpropatthelocationstampedinto
theinnerhoodsurface.
To prevent possible damage, do not slam the hood to
closeit.Lowerthehooduntilitisopenapproximately20
cm(8inches)andthendropit.Thisshouldsecureboth
latches.Neverdriveyourvehicleunlessthehoodisfully
closed,withbothlatchesengaged.
