Thesystemisalwaysinthe“ON”modeunless:
The Traction Control System will improve acceleration
and steering on slippery surfaces by reducing tire spin.
Thesystemreduceswheelslipandmaintainstractionat
thedriving(front)wheelsbyengagingthebrakeonthe
wheelthatislosingtraction.WhenthisoccurstheTRAC
indicator light located above the instrument cluster
odometerwillflash.Thesystemoperatesatspeedsbelow

TheTCSOFFswitchhasbeenusedtoturnthesystem
off;
ThereisaAnti-LockBrakeSystemmalfunction;
ThereisaTractionControlSystemmalfunction;
The system has been automatically deactivated to
preventdamagetothebrakesystemduetooverheated
braketemperatures.

NOTE:
Extended heavy use of Traction Control may
cause the system to deactivate and turn on the TRAC
OFFLightlocatedintheinstrumentcluster.
Thisistopreventoverheatingofthebrakesystemandis
anormalcondition.Thesystemwillremaindisabledfor
about4minutesuntilthebrakeshavecooled.Thesystem
willautomaticallyreactivateandturnofftheTRACOFF
light.
Ifyourvehiclebecomesstuckinmud,ice,orsnow,turn
the Traction Control System Off before attempting to
“rock”thevehiclefree.
TCSOFFSwitch
A push-button at the center of the instrument panel,
belowtheradio,turnstheTractionControlSystemONor
OFF.
