Note:Donotusetherunningboards,frontandrearhingeassemblies,
runningboardmotors,ortherunningboardunderbodymountstolift
thevehiclewiththejack,refertoChangingtiresintheRoadside
Emergencieschapter.
Inextremeclimates,excessiveicebuildupmayoccur,causing
therunningboardsnottodeploy.Besurethattherunning
boardshavedeployed,andhavefinishedmovingbeforeattemptingto
steponthem.Note:Therunningboardswillresumenormalfunction
oncetheblockageiscleared.
Turnofftherunningboardsbeforeworkingunderthevehicle,
jacking,orplacinganyobjectunderthevehicle.Neverplace
yourhandinthehingeassemblies.Amovingrunningboardmaycause
injury
POSITIVE RETENTION FLOOR MAT
Donotinstalladditionalfloormatsontopofthefactoryinstalled
floormatsastheymayinterferewiththeacceleratororthe
brakepedals.
Positionthedriverfloormatsothat
theeyeletisoverthepointedendof
theretentionpostandrotate
forwardtolockin.Makesurethat
thematdoesnotinterferewiththe
operationoftheacceleratororthe
brakepedal.Toremovethefloor
mat,reversetheinstallation
procedure.
