Tires, Wheels and Loading
Whenmountingreplacementtiresandwheels,youshouldnot
exceedthemaximumpressureindicatedonthesidewallofthe
tiretosetthebeadswithoutadditionalprecautionslistedbelow.Ifthe
beadsdonotseatatthemaximumpressureindicated,re-lubricateand
tryagain.
Wheninflatingthetireformountingpressuresupto20psigreater
thanthemaximumpressureonthetiresidewall,thefollowing
precautionsmustbetakentoprotectthepersonmountingthetire:

Foramountingpressuremorethan20psigreaterthanthemaximum
pressure,aFordDealerorothertireserviceprofessionalshoulddothe
mounting.
Makesurethatyouhavethecorrecttireandwheelsize.
Lubricatethetirebeadandwheelbeadseatareaagain.
Standataminimumof12feetawayfromthetirewheelassembly.
Usebotheyeandearprotection.
Alwaysinflatesteelcarcasstireswitharemoteairfillwiththeperson
inflatingstandingataminimumof12ft.awayfromthetirewheel
assembly.
Important:Remembertoreplacethewheelvalvestemswhentheroad
tiresarereplacedonyourvehicle.
Itisrecommendedthatthetwofronttiresortworeartiresgenerallybe
replacedasapair.
Thetirepressuresensorsmountedinthewheels(originallyinstalledon
yourvehicle)arenotdesignedtobeusedinaftermarketwheels.
TheuseofwheelsortiresnotrecommendedbyFordMotorCompany
mayaffecttheoperationofyourTirePressureMonitoringSystem.
IftheTPMSindicatorisflashing,yourTPMSismalfunctioning.Your
replacementtiremightbeincompatiblewithyourTPMS,orsome
componentoftheTPMSmaybedamaged.
