Seating and Safety Restraints
Thesafetybeltpretensionersactivateduringfrontalcollisions,andin
sidecollisionsandrollovers.Asafetybeltpretensionerisadevicewhich
tightensthewebbingofthelapandshoulderbeltsinsuchawaythat
theyfitmoresnuglyagainstthebody.
WARNING:Thedriverandfrontpassengersafetybeltsystem
(includingretractors,bucklesandheightadjusters)mustbe
replacedifthevehicleisinvolvedinacollisionthatresultsin
deploymentoffrontairbags,seat-mountedsideairbagsandSafety
Canopy௡,andsafetybeltpretensioners.
WARNING:Failuretoreplacethesafetybeltassemblyunder
theaboveconditionscouldresultinseverepersonalinjuriesin
theeventofacollision.

Ifthesafetybeltistooshortwhenfullyextended,a9inch(23cm)or

numbers611C22–Aand611C22–Brespectively).Theseassembliescan
beobtainedfromanauthorizeddealer.

WARNING:Donotuseextensionstochangethefitofthe
shoulderbeltacrossthetorso.
