Forvehiclesequippedwithanautomatictransmission,starttheengine
andallowittorunforfiveminutesatthebeginningofeachdayand
everysixhoursthereafter.Withtheenginerunningandyourfooton
thebrake,shiftintoD(Drive)andthenintoR(Reverse)before
shiftingbackintoN(Neutral).
Four-WheelDrive(4WD)vehicles:
Towyour4WDvehiclewithallfourwheelsonthegroundorwithallfour
wheelsoffthegroundusingavehicletransporttrailer.Donottowyour
4WDvehiclewiththefrontwheelsofftheground(byusingatow
dolly)andtherearwheelsontheground.Thiswillcausedamageto
your4WDsystem.Ifyouareusingavehicletransporttrailer,followthe
instructionspecifiedbytheequipmentprovider.
Note:Ifyoutowyourvehiclewithallfourwheelsontheground,follow
theseinstructions:
