Inextremelycoldweatherorafterthe

lettheenginewarmupwithoutoperating
theaccelerator.
Whethertheengineiscoldorwarm,it
shouldbestartedwithoutuseofthe
accelerator.
Iftheenginedoesnotstartthefirsttime,
refertoStartingaFloodedEngineunder
EmergencyStarting.Iftheenginestilldoes
notstart,haveyourvehicleinspectedbyan
AuthorizedMazdaDealer(page7-15).

TurntheignitionswitchtotheSTART
positionandhold(upto10secondsat
atime)untiltheenginestarts.
CAUTION
Donottrythestarterformorethan
10
secondsatatime.Iftheengine
stallsorfailstostart,wait10seconds
beforetryingagain.Otherwise,you
maydamagethestarteranddrain
thebattery.
