Performthefollowingprocedurewhen
replacingtheleftheadlightbulb.Turn
thescrewscounterclockwiseand
removethemandthecover.
WARNING
Donotreplacethexenonfusionbulbs
yourself:
Replacingthexenonfusionbulbs
yourselfisdangerous.Becausethe
xenonfusionbulbsrequirehigh
voltage,youcouldreceiveanelectric
shockifthebulbsarehandled
incorrectly.ConsultanAuthorized
MazdaDealerwhenthereplacement
isnecessary.

Nevertouchtheglassportionofa
halogenbulbwithyourbarehandsand
alwaysweareyeprotectionwhen
handlingorworkingaroundthebulbs:
Whenahalogenbulbbreaks,itis
dangerous.Thesebulbscontain
pressurizedgas.Ifoneisbroken,it
willexplodeandseriousinjuries
couldbecausedbytheflyingglass.
Iftheglassportionistouchedwith
barehands,bodyoilcouldcausethe
bulbtooverheatandexplodewhen
lit.

4. Findthehighandlowbeambulbsin
therearoftheheadlightunit.
TheoutboardbulbistheLOWbeam,
andtheinboardoneistheHIGHbeam
(page8-36).
High-beambulb
1. Turnthesocketandbulbassembly
counterclockwise,andcarefullypullit
backward.
Alwayskeephalogenbulbsoutofthe
reachofchildren:
Playingwithahalogenbulbis
dangerous.Seriousinjuriescouldbe
causedbydroppingahalogenbulb
orbreakingitsomeotherway.
2. Disconnectthesocketandbulb
assemblyfromtheelectricalconnector
bypressingthetabontheconnector
withyourfingerandpullingit.

andtheheadlightswitchisoff.
