Performtirepressureadjustmentwhenthe

tiresarecold.Tirepressurewillvary
accordingtothetiretemperature,therefore
letthevehiclestandfor1houroronlydrive
it1.6km(1mile)orlessbeforeadjusting
thetirepressures.Whenpressureis
adjustedonhottirestothecoldinflation
pressure,theTPMSwarninglight/beepmay
turnonafterthetirescoolandpressure
dropsbelowspecification.
CAUTION
Whenreplacing/repairingthetiresor
wheelsorboth,havetheworkdone
byanAuthorizedMazdaDealer,or
thetirepressuresensorsmaybe
damaged.
Also,anilluminatedTPMSwarninglight,
resultingfromthetireairpressuredropping
duetocoldambienttemperature,mayturn
offiftheambienttemperaturerises.Inthis
case,itwillalsobenecessarytoadjustthe
tireairpressures.IftheTPMSwarning
lightilluminatesduetoadropintireair
pressure,makesuretocheckandadjustthe
tireairpressures.
Afteradjustingthetireairpressures,itmay
requiresometimefortheTPMSwarning
lighttoturnoff.IftheTPMSwarninglight
remainsilluminated,drivethevehicleata
speedofatleast25km/h(16mph)for10
minutes,andthenverifythatitturnsoff.
Tiresloseairnaturallyovertimeandthe
TPMScannottellifthetiresaregettingtoo
softovertimeoryouhaveaflat.However,
whenyoufindonelowtireinasetoffour-
thatisanindicationoftrouble;youshould
havesomeonedrivethevehicleslowly
forwardsoyoucaninspectanylowtirefor
cutsandanymetalobjectsstickingthrough
treadorsidewall.Putafewdropsofwater
inthevalvestemtoseeifitbubbles

indicatingabadvalve.Leaksneedtobe
addressedbymorethansimplyrefillingthe
troubletireasleaksaredangerous-takeit
toanAuthorizedMazdaDealerwhichhas
alltheequipmenttofixtires,TPMSsystems
andorderthebestreplacementtireforyour
vehicle.
