andthatitsnegativeterminalis
grounded.

Iftheboosterbatteryisinanother
vehicle,don'tallowbothvehiclesto
touch.Turnofftheengineofthe
vehiclewiththeboosterbatteryandall
unnecessaryelectricalloadsinboth
vehicles.

Connectthejumpercablesintheexact
sequenceasintheillustration.
Connectoneendofacabletothe

positiveterminalonthedischarged
battery(1).
Attachtheotherendtothepositive

terminalontheboosterbattery(2).
Connectoneendoftheothercable

tothenegativeterminalofthe
boosterbattery(3).
Connecttheotherendtotheground

pointindicatedintheillustration
awayfromthedischargedbattery
