Theheadlights,otherexteriorlightsand
dashboardilluminationmaynotturnoff
immediatelyevenifthesurroundingarea
becomeswell-litbecausethelightsensor
determinesthatitisnighttimeifthe
surroundingareaiscontinuouslydarkfor
severalminutessuchasinsidelongtunnels,
trafficjamsinsidetunnels,orinindoor
parkinglots.

ØDonotshadethelightsensorby
adheringastickeroralabelon
thewindshield.Otherwisethelight
sensorwillnotoperatecorrectly.
Light sensor
Inthiscase,thelightturnsoffifthelight
switchisturnedtotheOFFposition.
WhentheheadlightswitchisintheAUTO
positionandtheignitionswitchisturnedto
theACCorLOCKposition,theheadlights,
otherexteriorlightsanddashboard
illuminationwillturnoff.

Thetimingforturningontheheadlights,
otherexteriorlightsanddashboard
illuminationcanbedelayedbyadjusting
thesensitivityofthelightsensor.Consultan
AuthorizedMazdaDealerregardingsensor
adjustment.

ØThelightsensoralsoworksasa
rainsensorfortheauto-wiper
control.Keephandsandscrapers
clearofthewindshieldwhenthe
wiperleverisintheAUTOposition
andtheignitionswitchisinthe
ONpositionasfingerscouldbe
pinchedorthewipersandwiper
bladesdamagedwhenthewipers
activateautomatically.Ifyouare
goingtocleanthewindshield,be
surethewipersareturnedoff
completely-thisisparticularly
importantwhenclearingiceand
snow-whenitisparticularly
temptingtoleavetheengine
running.
ThesensitivityoftheAUTOlightsmaybe
changedbyanAuthorizedMazdaDealer.

Xenonfusionheadlightbulbsí
Thelow-beambulbsoftheheadlights
havexenonfusionbulbsthatproducea
brightwhitebeamoverawidearea.
WARNING
Donotreplacethexenonfusionbulbs
yourself:
Replacingthexenonfusionbulbs
yourselfisdangerous.Becausethe
xenonfusionbulbsrequirehigh
voltage,youcouldreceiveanelectric
shockifthebulbsarehandled
incorrectly.ConsultanAuthorized
MazdaDealerwhenthereplacement
isnecessary.
