ThelapbeltshouldbewornSNUGLYANDASLOWASPOSSIBLEOVERTHEHIPS.
Theshoulderbeltshouldbewornacrossyourshoulderproperly,butneveracrossthe
stomacharea.
Personswithseriousmedicalconditionsalsoshouldwearseatbelts.Checkwithyour
doctorforanyspecialinstructionsregardingspecificmedicalconditions.
qEmergencyLockingMode
Intheemergencylockingmode,thebeltremainscomfortableontheoccupantandthe
retractorwilllockinpositionduringacollision.Whentheseatbeltisfastened,itwill
alwaysbeintheemergencylockingmodeuntilitisswitchedtoautomaticlockingmodeby
pullingitallthewayouttoitsfulllength.Ifthebeltfeelstightandhinderscomfortable
movementwhilethevehicleisstoppedorinmotion,itmaybeintheautomaticlocking
modebecausethebelthasbeenpulledtoofarout.Toreturnthebelttothemore
comfortableemergencylockingmode,waituntilthevehiclehasstoppedinasafe,level
area,retractthebeltfullytoconvertitbacktoemergencylockingmodeandthenextendit
aroundyouagain.
Ifthebeltislockedandcannotbepulledout,retractthebeltonce,andthentrypullingit
outslowly.Ifthisfails,pullthebeltstronglyonetimeandloosen,thenpullitoutagain
slowly.
