Theanchorsonbothsidesofthe
centeroftherearseatareprovided
primarilyforchildseatsatthe
outboardseatsandarefurtherapart
thanthepairsofloweranchorsforchildseatinstallationatotherseats.A
childseatwithrigidLATCHattachmentscannotbeinstalledatthecenter
rearseat.AchildseatwithLATCHattachmentsonbeltwebbingcanbe
usedatthecenterrearseatunlessachildseatatanoutboardrearseatis
attachedtooneoftheseloweranchors.Installachildseatontothelower
anchorsatthecenterrearseatONLYIFthechildrestraintmanufacturer
recommendsthatthechildseatcanbeinstalledtoanchorsthatarespaced
upto450mmapart.
NeverattachtwoLATCHchildsafetyseatstothesameanchor.
Inacrash,oneanchormaynotbestrongenoughtoholdtwo
childseatattachmentsandmaybreak,causingseriousinjuryordeath.
TheLATCHanchorsarelocatedon
therearsectionoftheseatcushion,
atthebottomoftheseatback.
Followthechildseatmanufacturer’s
instructionstoproperlyinstallsafety
seatswithLATCHattachments.
AttachtheLATCHlowerattachmentsofthechildseatonlyto
theappropriatelocationsshown.
OnceyouhaveinstalledtheLATCHsafetyseat,assurethattheseatis
properlyattachedtoLATCHandtetheranchors.Also,testthesafetyseat
beforeyouplacethechildinit.Tilttheseatfromsidetoside.Alsotryto
tugtheseatforward.Checktoseeiftheanchorsholdtheseatinplace.
Ifthesafetyseatinnotanchoredproperly,theriskofachild
beinginjuredinacollisiongreatlyincreases.
