resistancetothegenerationofheatanditsabilitytodissipateheatwhen
testedundercontrolledconditionsonaspecifiedindoorlaboratorytest
wheel.Sustainedhightemperaturecancausethematerialofthetireto
degenerateandreducetirelife,andexcessivetemperaturecanleadto
suddentirefailure.ThegradeCcorrespondstoalevelofperformancewhich
allpassengercartiresmustmeetundertheFederalMotorVehicleSafety
StandardNo.109.GradesBandArepresenthigherlevelsofperformanceon
thelaboratorytestwheelthantheminimumrequiredbylaw.
Thetemperaturegradeforthistireisestablishedforatirethat
isproperlyinflatedandnotoverloaded.Excessivespeed,
underinflation,orexcessiveloading,eitherseparatelyorin
combination,cancauseheatbuildupandpossibletirefailure.
TIRES
Tiresaredesignedtogivemanythousandsofmilesofservice,butthey
mustbemaintainedinordertogetthemaximumbenefitfromthem.
