Donotleavetheliftgateopenwhiledriving.Doingsocouldcauseserious
damagetotheliftgateanditscomponentsaswellasallowingcarbon
monoxidetoenterthevehicle.
Makesurethattheliftgatedoorisclosedtopreventexhaust
fumesfrombeingdrawnintothevehicle.Thiswillalsoprevent
passengersandcargofromfallingout.Ifyoumustdrivewiththe
liftgatedooropen,keeptheventsopensooutsideaircomesintothe
vehicle

Themaximumrecommendedloadis

kg(220lbs)ontheluggage
rackstructure.Theloadmustbe
placeddirectlyonthedealer
installedcrossbars(ifequipped)
andluggagerack.Thevehicle’ sroof
panelisnotdesignedtocarrya
load.
Whenloadingtheluggagerack,itisrecommendedtoevenlydistribute
theload,aswellasmaintainalowcenterofgravity.Ensurethattheload
issecurelyfastened.
Yourfueleconomywilldecreasewhenyoudrivewithitemsonthe
luggagerack.Whentherackisloaded,checkthetightnessoftherear
adjustingthumbwheelbeforedrivingandateachrefuelingstop.
Loadedvehicles,withahighercenterofgravity,mayhandle
differentlythanunloadedvehicles.Extraprecautions,suchas
slowerspeedsandincreasedstoppingdistance,shouldbetakenwhen
drivingaheavilyloadedvehicle.
