theclockandthepresetradiostationsmustberesetoncethebatteryis
reconnected.

localauthorizedrecyclingcenter
tofindoutmoreaboutrecycling
automotivebatteries.

ENGINE COOLANT
Checking engine coolant
Theconcentrationandlevelofenginecoolantshouldbecheckedatthe
mileageintervalslistedintheScheduledMaintenanceGuide .The
coolantconcentrationshouldbemaintainedat50/50coolantanddistilled
water,whichequatestoafreezepointof-36°C(-34°F).Coolant
concentrationtestingispossiblewithahydrometerorantifreezetester
(suchastheRotundaBatteryandAntifreezeTester,014–R1060).The
levelofcoolantshouldbemaintainedatthe“FULLCOLD”orwithinthe
“
COLDFILLRANGE”levelinthecoolantreservoir.Ifthelevelfalls
below,addcoolantpertheinstructionsintheAddingenginecoolant
section.
Yourvehiclewasfactory-filledwitha50/50enginecoolantandwater
concentration.Iftheconcentrationofcoolantfallsbelow40%orabove
60%,
theenginepartscouldbecomedamagedornotworkproperly.A

–50mixtureofcoolantandwaterprovidesthefollowing:

Freezeprotectiondownto-36°C(-34°F).
•
Boilingprotectionupto129°C(265°F).
•
Protectionagainstrustandotherformsofcorrosion.
Enablescalibratedgaugestoworkproperly.
