only be used temporarily. The recirculation symbol will
illuminate in the display when this button is selected.

iconinthedisplayandallowoutsideairintothevehicle.
The “REAR SYSTEM” knob for the Rear Automatic
TemperatureControlSystemisonthefrontATCcontrol
unitlocatedontheinstrumentpanel.
Selecting the “AUTO” position for the Rear Automatic
TemperatureControlSystemfromthefrontATCcontrol
unit, illuminates a “LOCK” symbol in the rear display.
Thereartemperatureandairsourcearecontrolledfrom 4
thefrontATCcontrolunit.
NOTE: Incoldweather,useoftheRecirculationmode
mayleadtoexcessivewindowfogging.TheRecirculation
mode is not allowed in the Mix and Defrost modes to
improve window clearing operation. Recirculation will
bedisabledautomaticallyifthesemodesareselected.
The“REARSYSTEM”knobonthefrontATCcontrolunit
has three positions, “REAR CONTROL”, “OFF” , and
“AUTO”.Onlywhenthe“REARSYSTEM”knobisinthe
“REAR CONTROL” position do the second seat occu-
pants have control of the Rear Automatic Temperature
ControlSystem.

The Rear Automatic Temperature Control System has
floorairoutletstotherearoftherightsideslidingdoor
and overhead outlets at each outboard rear seating
position. The system provides heated air through the
flooroutletsorcool,dehumidifiedairthroughthehead-
lineroutlets.
