squarefeet(3.72squaremeters).
Connectingtrailerbrakestoyourvehicle’ shydraulic
brakelinescanoverloadyourbrakesystemandcause
ittofail.Youmightnothavebrakeswhenyouneed
themandcouldhaveanaccident.

Thetrailertongueloadmustbeconsideredaspartof
the combined weight of occupants and cargo, and
shouldneverexceedtheweightreferencedontheTire
and Loading Information placard. Refer to the Tire–
SafetyInformationSectioninthismanual.

Donotattempttotowatrailerwhileusingacompact
sparetire.
•
Whenever you pull a trailer, regardless of the trailer
size, stop lights and turn signals on the trailer are
recommendedformotoringsafety.
•
The“D”rangecanbeselectedwhentowing.However,
iffrequentshiftingoccurswhileinthisrange,the“3”
rangemustbeselected.
•
The automatic transaxle fluid and filter should be
changed if you REGULARLY tow a trailer for more
than45minutesofcontinuousoperation.SeeSchedule
NOTE: Usingthe“3”rangewhileoperatingthevehicle
under heavy operating conditions will improve perfor-
mance and extend transaxle life by reducing excessive
shiftingandheatbuildup.
