SpareTireRemoval
The spare tire is stowed under the rear of the vehicle by
meansofacablewinchmechanism.Toremoveorstowthe
spare, use the jack handle to rotate the “spare tire drive”
nut.Thenutislocatedunderaplasticcoveratthecenter-
rearofthecargofloorarea,justinsidetheliftgateopening.
Fitthejackhandleextensionoverthedrivenut.Usethe
LugWrenchtorotatethenutcounterclockwiseuntilthe
spareisonthegroundwithenoughslackinthecableto
allowtopullthetireoutfromunderthevehicle.
CAUTION!
Thewinchmechanismisdesignedforusewiththe
jack extension tube only. Use of an air wrench or
other power tools is not recommended and can 6
damagethewinch.
Whenthespareisclear,tilttheretainerattheendofthe
cableandpullitthroughthecenterofthewheel.
