NOTE: To start the vehicle following connection of a
boosterbattery,theSecurityAlarmSystemmustfirstbe
disabledbycyclingafrontdoorkeycylinderorbyusing
thekeylessentrytransmitter.

Turnofftheheater,radioandallunnecessaryelectrical
loads.

Connect one end of a jumper cable to the positive
terminalofthedischargedbattery.Connecttheotherend
ofthesamecabletothepositiveterminalofthebooster
battery.

Jump starting can be dangerous. To avoid personal
injuryordamagetoelectricalcomponentsinvehicle,

Connecttheothercable,firsttothenegativeterminal
oftheboosterbatteryandthenconnecttheotherendto
a non-paint metal surface on the engine of the vehicle
withthedischargedbattery.Makesureyouhaveagood
contactontheengine.

Batteryfluidisacorrosiveacidsolutionandcanburn
orevenblindyou.Don’tallowbatteryfluidtocontact
youreyes,skin,orclothing.Don’tleanoverabattery

Start the engine in the vehicle which has the booster
battery,lettheengineidleafewminutes,thenstartthe
engineinthevehiclewiththedischargedbattery.
