Anexampleof“recreationaltowing”istowingyourvehiclebehinda
motorhome.
Ifyourvehicleisautomatictransaxleequipped,witha4x2(front-wheel
driveonly)configuredpowertrain,“recreationaltowing”ispermittedby
traileringthevehiclewithitsfrontwheelsonadolly.Thisprotectsthe
transmission’sinternalmechanicalcomponentsfrompotentiallackof
lubricationdamage.
Ifyourvehicleisautomatictransaxleequippedand4WD(all-wheel
drive),“recreationaltowing”ispermittedonlyifthevehicleistrailered
withallfour(4)wheelsofftheground.Otherwise,no“recreational
towing”ispermitted.
Ifyourvehicleismanualtransaxleequippedand2WDor4WD,shifting
thetransaxleintoneutralpermits“flat-towing”(allwheelsonthe
ground)forpullingbehindamotorhome.Yourvehicle,withwell
designedtowingequipment,maybetoweduptoaspeedof113km/h

mph)butyoushouldalwaysobeylocalspeedlimits.
