needtouseit,youshouldreplaceitassoonaspossible.
Tire change procedure
Note:Thetirepressuremonitoringsystem(TPMS)indicatorlightwill
illuminatewhenthespareisinuse.Torestorethefullfunctionalityof
theTPMSsystem,allroadwheelsequippedwiththetirepressure
monitoringsensorsmustbemountedonthevehicle.
Haveaflattireservicedbyanauthorizeddealerinordertoprevent
damagetotheTPMSsensor,refertoTirePressureMonitoringSystem
(TPMS)intheTires,Wheels,andLoadingchapter.Replacethesparetire
witharoadtireassoonaspossible.Duringrepairingorreplacingofthe
flattire,havetheauthorizeddealerinspecttheTPMSsensorfordamage.
Whenoneofthefrontwheelsisofftheground,thetransmission
alonewillnotpreventthevehiclefrommovingorslippingoffthe
jack,evenifthevehicleisinP(Park)(automatictransaxle)orR
(Reverse)(manualtransaxle).
Tohelppreventthevehiclefrommovingwhenyouchangeatire,
besuretheparkingbrakeisset,thenblock(inbothdirections)
thewheelthatisdiagonallyopposite(othersideandendofthe
vehicle)tothetirebeingchanged.
