occupanttobeincorrectlyinterpretedbythepassengersensingsystem.
Thepersoninthefrontpassengerseatmayappearheavierorlighterdue
totheconditionsdescribedinthelistabove.
WARNING:Toreducetheriskofpossibleseriousinjury:
Donotstowobjectsinseatbackmappocket(ifequipped)or
hangobjectsoffseatbackifachildisinthefrontpassengerseat.
Donotplaceobjectsunderneaththefrontpassengerseatorbetween
theseatandthecenterconsole(ifequipped).
Checkthe“passengerairbagoff”or“passairbagoff”indicatorlampfor
properairbagStatus.
Failuretofollowtheseinstructionsmayinterferewiththepassenger
seatsensingsystem.
Incasethereisaproblemwiththe
frontpassengersensingsystem,the
airbagreadinesslampinthe
instrumentclusterwillstaylit.
Iftheairbagreadinesslampislit,dothefollowing:
Thedriverand/oradultpassengersshouldcheckforanyobjectsthat
maybelodgedunderneaththefrontpassengerseatorcargointerfering
withtheseat.
Ifobjectsarelodgedand/orcargoisinterferingwiththeseat;pleasetake
thefollowingstepstoremovetheobstruction:

Pullthevehicleover.
Turnthevehicleoff.
Driverand/oradultpassengersshouldcheckforanyobjectslodged
underneaththefrontpassengerseatorcargointerferingwiththeseat.

Removetheobstruction(s)(iffound).
Restartthevehicle.
Waitatleasttwominutesandverifythattheairbagreadinesslampis
nolongerilluminated

Iftheairbagreadinesslampremainsilluminated,thismayormay/not
beaproblemduetothefrontpassengersensingsystem.
DONOTattempttorepairorservicethesystem;takeyourvehicle
immediatelytoanauthorizeddealer.
