Safety belts with locking cinch tongue (rear center position only)
Thelockingcinchtonguewillslideupanddownthebeltwebbingwhen
thebeltisinthestowedpositionorwhileputtingsafetybeltson.When
thelockingcinchtongueofthelap/shouldercombinationsafetybeltis
latchedintothebuckle,thecinchtonguewillallowthelapportionto
becomeshorter,butlocksthewebbinginplacetorestrictitfrom
becominglonger.
Beforeyoucanreachandlatchacombinationlapandshoulderbelt
havingacinchtongueintothebuckle,youmayhavetolengthenthelap
beltportionofit.
1.
Tolengthenthelapbelt,pull
somewebbingoutoftheshoulder
beltretractor.
2.
Whileholdingthewebbingbelow
thetongue,graspthetip(metal
portion)ofthetonguesothatitis
paralleltothewebbingandslidethe
tongueupward.
3.
Provideenoughlapbeltlengthsothatthetonguecanreachthe
buckle.
Howtofastenthecinchtongue
1.
theshoulderbeltportionofthesafetybeltcrossesyourshoulderand
chest.
Pullthecombinationlapandshoulderbeltfromtheretractorsothat

Besurethebeltisnottwisted.Ifthebeltistwisted,removethetwist.
3.
Insertthebelttongueintotheproperbuckleforyourseatingposition
untilyouhearasnapandfeelitlatch.
Makesurethetongueissecurelyfastenedtothebucklebypullingon
thetongue.
4.
WARNING:Thelapbeltshouldfitsnuglyandaslowaspossible
aroundthehips,notacrossthewaist.
WARNING:Frontandrearseatoccupants,includingpregnant
women,shouldwearsafetybeltsforoptimumprotectioninan
accident.
