characteristicsofthevehicleandmayadverselyaffecttheperformance
oftheAdvanceTracsystem.Inaddition,installinganystereo
loudspeakersmayinterferewithandadverselyaffecttheAdvanceTrac
system.Installanyaftermarketstereoloudspeakerasfaraspossible
fromthefrontcenterconsole,thetunnel,andthefrontseatsinorder
tominimizetheriskofinterferingwiththeAdvanceTracsensors.
ReducingtheeffectivenessoftheAdvanceTracsystemcouldleadto
anincreasedriskoflossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personal
injuryanddeath.
WARNING:Rememberthatevenadvancedtechnologycannot
defythelawsofphysics.It’salwayspossibletolosecontrolofa
vehicleduetoinappropriatedriverinputfortheconditions.Aggressive
drivingonanyroadconditioncancauseyoutolosecontrolofyour
vehicleincreasingtheriskofpersonalinjuryorpropertydamage.
ActivationoftheAdvanceTracsystemisanindicationthatatleast
someofthetireshaveexceededtheirabilitytogriptheroad;this
couldreducetheoperator’sabilitytocontrolthevehiclepotentially
resultinginalossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjury
anddeath.IfyourAdvanceTracsystemactivates,SLOWDOWN.
WARNING:Ifafailurehasbeendetectedwithinthe
AdvanceTracsystem,theЉslidingcarЉicon
willilluminate
steadily.VerifythattheAdvanceTracsystemisnotmanuallydisabled
(pushtheAdvanceTrac“Off“buttonlocatedonthecenterofthe
instrumentpanel).IftheЉslidingcarЉicon
stillilluminatessteadily,
havethesystemservicebyanauthorizeddealerimmediately.
YourvehiclemaybeequippedwiththeAdvanceTracsystem.The
AdvanceTracsystemprovidesthefollowingstabilityenhancement
featuresforcertaindrivingsituations:
