TheAdvanceTracsystemautomaticallyenableseachtimetheengineis
started.AllfeaturesoftheAdvanceTracsystem(TCSandESC)are
activeandmonitorthevehiclefromstart-up.However,thesystemwill
onlyinterveneifthedrivingsituationrequiresit.
TheAdvanceTracsystemincludes
anAdvanceTracЉOffЉbuttonon
thecenteroftheinstrumentpanel,
anda“slidingcar”icon
instrumentcluster.The“slidingcar”
intheinstrumentcluster
inthe
icon
willilluminatetemporarilyduringstart-upaspartofanormalsystem
self-check,orduringdrivingifadrivingsituationcausesthe
AdvanceTracsystemtooperate.Ifthe“slidingcar”icon
illuminates
steadily,verifythattheAdvanceTracsystemisnotmanuallydisabledby
pressingtheAdvanceTracЉOffЉbuttonlocatedonthecenterstackof
theinstrumentpanel.Ifthe“slidingcar”icon
remainssteadily
illuminated,havethesystemservicedbyanauthorizeddealer
immediately.Ifequippedwithamessagecenter,thevehiclewillalso
indicateafailurewiththeAdvanceTracsystem.
WhenAdvanceTracperformsanormalsystemself-check,somedrivers
maynoticeaslightmovementofthebrake,and/orarumble,grunting,or
grindingnoiseafterstartupandwhendrivingoff.

The“slidingcar”
indicatorlightwillflash.
Avibrationinthepedalwhenyourfootisonthebrakepedal
Ifthedrivingconditionissevereandyourfootisnotonthebrake,the
brakepedalmaymoveasthesystemsapplieshigherbrakeforces.You
mayalsohearawhooshofairfromundertheinstrumentpanelduring
thisseverecondition.
