Checking engine coolant
Theconcentrationandlevelofenginecoolantshouldbecheckedatthe
intervalslistedinscheduledmaintenanceinformation.Thecoolant
concentrationshouldbemaintainedat50/50coolantanddistilledwater,
whichequatestoafreezepointof-34°F(-36°C).Coolantconcentration
testingispossiblewithahydrometerorantifreezetester(suchasthe
RotundaBatteryandAntifreezeTester).Thelevelofcoolantshouldbe
maintainedatthe“FULLCOLD”levelorwithinthe“COLDFILL
RANGE”inthecoolantreservoir.Ifthelevelfallsbelow,addcoolantper
theinstructionsintheAddingenginecoolantsection.
Yourvehiclewasfactory-filledwitha50/50enginecoolantandwater
concentration.Iftheconcentrationofcoolantfallsbelow40%orabove
60%,
