Climate control system
Rair flows onto the windshield and the front 4-zone automatic climate control
COOL appears in display 4 (Y page 180) or
(Y page 182).
The air conditioning switches automatically to
the following functions:
side windows
X Switch the windshield wipers on
(Y page 118).
Rthe air recirculation mode is switched off
X Turn air distribution controls 1 and 7
i You can adjust the air volume, air
distribution and interior air temperature
when the front defroster is switched on.

X Deactivating: Press buttony again.
The indicator lamp in the button goes out.
The previous settings are once again in
effect. The cooling remains switched on.
The air recirculation remains switched off.

The indicator lamp in buttony goes out.
Air volume and air distribution are adjusted
automatically.
Maximum cooling MAX COOL
Rthe air recirculation mode is switched on
X Deactivating: Press button 8 or f again.
MAX COOL disappears in display 4.
The previous settings are once again in
effect.
MAX COOL is only operational when the
engine is running.
MAX COOL is only available in U.S. vehicles.
You can use this setting to provide the fastest
possible cooling of the vehicle interior (when
windows and tilt/sliding sunroof or tilt/
sliding panel are closed).
