Engine-offpowerwindowoperation
Ifthebatterywasdisconnectedduringvehicle
maintenance,orforotherreasonssuchasa
switchcontinuestobeoperatedafterthe
windowisfullyopen/close,thewindowwillnot
fullyopenandcloseautomatically.Carryout
thefollowingproceduretoresumeoperation:
Thepowerwindowcanbeoperatedfor
about45secondsaftertheignitionswitch
isturnedfromtheONpositiontothe
ACCorLOCKpositionwithalldoors
closed.Ifanydoorisopened,thepower
windowwillbeinoperable.

TurntheignitionswitchtotheONposition.
Presstheswitchandfullyopenthewindow.
NOTE
Forengine-offoperationofthepowerwindow,
theswitchmustbeheldupfirmlythroughout
windowclosurebecausetheauto-closing
functionwillbeinoperable.
Pulluptheswitchtofullyclosethewindow
andcontinueholdingtheswitchforabout2
secondsafterthewindowfullycloses.

Jam-safewindow
Ifaperson'shands,headoranobject
blocksthewindowduringtheauto-
closingoperation,thewindowwillstop
andopenhalfway.
Thepowerwindowsmaybeoperated
whenthepowerwindowlockswitchon
thedriver'sdoorisintheunlocked
position.
WARNING
Thepassengerwindowsmaybeopenedor
closedbythepowerwindowmaster
controlswitchesonthedriver'sdoor.
Makesurenothingblocksthewindow
justbeforeitreachesthefullyclosed
positionorwhileholdingupthepower
windowswitch:
Blockingthepowerwindowjust
beforeitreachesthefullyclosed
positionorwhileholdingupthe
powerwindowswitchisdangerous.
Inthiscase,thejam-safefunction
cannotpreventthewindowfrom
closingalltheway.Iffingersare
caught,seriousinjuriescouldoccur.

powerwindowcouldstopandstartopening
whenthewindowfeelsashockthatissimilar

automatically,pullandholdtheswitchandthe
windowwillclose.
