Toinspectthewasherfluidlevelinthe
frontreservoir,pulloffthecap.Then,
holdingyourthumbovertheholeinthe
centerofthecap,liftitstraightup.The
fluidlevelcanbeseenfromthefluid
columninthepipe.Addfluidifnecessary.
Operatingyourvehiclein
temperaturesbelow4degreesC(40
degreesF)usingwasherfluidwithout
anti-freezeprotectionisdangerous
asitcouldcauseimpairedwindshield
visionandresultinanaccident.In
coldweather,alwaysusewasher
fluidwithanti-freezeprotection.
Useplainwaterifwasherfluidis
unavailable.Butuseonlywasherfluidin
coldweathertopreventitfromfreezing.

Stateorlocalregulationsmayrestricttheuse
ofvolatileorganiccompounds(VOCs),which
arecommonlyusedasanti-freezeagentsin
washerfluid.AwasherfluidwithlimitedVOC
contentshouldbeusedonlyifitprovides
adequatefreezeresistanceforallregionsand
climatesinwhichthevehiclewillbeoperated.
