Expendedordamagedairbag/seatbeltpretensionersystemcomponentsmustbe
replacedafteranycollisionwhichcausedthemtodeployordamagethem.Onlya
trainedAuthorizedMazdaDealercanfullyevaluatethesesystemstoseethatthey
willworkinanysubsequentaccident.Drivingwithanexpendedordamagedairbag
orpretensionerunitwillnotaffordyouthenecessaryprotectionintheeventofany
subsequentaccidentwhichcouldresultinseriousinjuryordeath.
Donotremoveinteriorairbagparts:
Removinganycomponentssuchasthefrontseats,frontdashboard,thesteering
wheelorpartsonthefrontandrearwindowpillarsandalongtheroofedge,
containingairbagpartsorsensorsisdangerous.Thesepartscontainessentialair
bagcomponents.Theairbagcouldaccidentallyactivateandcauseseriousinjuries.
AlwayshaveanAuthorizedMazdaDealerremovetheseparts.
Disposeoftheairbagproperly:
Improperdisposalofanairbagoravehiclewithliveairbagsinitcanbeextremely
dangerous.Unlessallsafetyproceduresarefollowed,injurycanresult.Askan
AuthorizedMazdaDealerhowtosafelydisposeofanairbagorhowtoscrapanair
bagequippedvehicle.
NOTE
Ifitbecomesnecessarytohavethecomponentsorwiringsystemforthesupplementaryrestraint
systemmodifiedtoaccommodateapersonwithcertainmedicalconditionsinaccordancewitha
certifiedphysician,contactanAuthorizedMazdaDealer,referto“CustomerAssistance(U.S.A.)”
(page9-2).
