Theshift-locksystempreventsshifting

ShiftingfromNorP:
It'sdangeroustoshiftfromNorP
intoadrivinggearwhentheengineis
runningfasterthanidle.Ifthisis
done,thevehiclecouldmovesuddenly,
causinganaccidentorseriousinjury.
Iftheengineisrunningfasterthan
idle,don'tshiftfromNorPintoa
drivinggear.
ToshiftfromP:
1.
Depressandholdthebrakepedal.
2. Starttheengine.
Movetheshiftlever.

NOTE
ShiftingintoNwhileDriving:
ShiftingintoNwhiledrivingis
dangerous.Enginebrakingcannotbe
appliedwhendeceleratingwhich
couldleadtoanaccidentorserious
injury.DonotshiftintoNwhen
drivingthevehicle.
Whentheignitionswitchisinthe
ACCorLOCKposition,theshift
levercannotbeshiftedfromP.

Tobesurethevehicleisinpark,the
ignitionkeycannotberemoved
unlesstheshiftleverisinP.

CAUTION
qShift-LockOverride
DonotshiftintoNwhendrivingthe
vehicle.Doingsocancausetransaxle
damage.
Iftheshiftleverwon'tmovefromPusing
thepropershiftprocedure,continueto
holddownthepedal.
