moderate.Vehicleoccupantsshouldalwayswearseatbelts.

ChildintheFrontSeat:

Placingachild,12yearsorunder,inthefrontseatisdangerous.Thechildcouldbe

hitbyadeployingairbagandbeseriouslyinjuredorevenkilled.Evenifthefront

passengerairbagdeactivationindicatorlightilluminates,alwaysmovethefront

passengerseatasfarbackaspossible.Asleepingchildismorelikelytoleanagainst

thedoorandbehitbythesideairbaginamoderate,right-sidecollision.Whenever

possible,alwayssecureachild12yearsandunderontherearseatwithan

appropriatechild-restraintsystemforthechild'sageandsize.

Rear-FacingChild-RestraintSystem:

Rear-facingchild-restraintsystemsonthefrontseatareparticularlydangerous.

Thechild-restraintsystemcanbehitbyadeployingairbagandmovedviolently

backwardresultinginseriousinjuryordeathtothechild.Eventhoughyoumayfeel

assuredthatthefrontpassengerairbagwillnotdeploybasedonthefactthatthefront

passengerairbagdeactivationindicatorlightilluminates,NEVERusearear-facing

moderatecollision.

SeatingPositionwithFrontAirBags:

Sittingtooclosetotheairbagmodulesorplacinghandsorfeetonthemisextremely

dangerous.Frontairbagsinflatewithgreatforceandspeed.Seriousinjuriescould

occurifsomeoneistooclose.Thedrivershouldalwaysholdontoonlytherimofthe

steeringwheel.Thefrontseatpassengershouldkeepbothfeetonthefloor.Frontseat

occupantsshouldadjusttheirseatsasfarbackaspossibleandalwayssitupright

againsttheseatbackswithseatbeltswornproperly.
