Drivingthevehiclewiththeairbag/
frontseatbeltpretensionersystem
warningbeepsoundingisdangerous.
Inacollision,theairbagsandthe
frontseatbeltpretensionersystemwill
notdeployandthiscouldresultin
deathorseriousinjury.
Donotdrivethevehiclewiththeair
bag/frontseatbeltpretensionersystem
warningbeepsounding.Contactan
AuthorizedMazdaDealertohavethe
vehicleinspectedassoonaspossible.
Drivingwithdamagedairbagsystem
componentsisdangerous.Acollision,
evenonenotstrongenoughtoinflate
theairbags,coulddamagethesystem
components.Iftherewasasubsequent
collision,adamagedcomponent
wouldnotinflatetheairbags.Always
haveanAuthorizedMazdaDealer
inspecttheairbagsystemsaftera
collision.
RemovingInteriorParts:
Removinganycomponentssuchasthe
frontseats(ifsideairbagsare
qMaintenance
equipped),frontdashboard,the
steeringwheelorpartsonthefront
andrearwindowpillarsandalongthe
roofedge,containingairbagpartsor
sensorsisdangerous.Theseparts
containessentialairbagcomponents.
Theairbagcouldaccidentallyactivate
andcauseseriousinjuries.Always
haveanAuthorizedMazdaDealer
removetheseparts.
Theairbagsystemsdonotrequireregular
maintenance.Butifanyofthefollowing
occurs,takeyourvehicletoanAuthorized
MazdaDealerassoonaspossible:
Theairbagsystemwarninglight
l
flashes.
Theairbagsystemwarninglight
l
remainsilluminated.
Theairbagsystemwarninglightdoes
notilluminatewhentheignitionswitch
isturnedtotheONposition.
l
AirBagDisposal:
Improperdisposalofanairbagora
vehiclewithliveairbagsinitcanbe
extremelydangerous.Unlessallsafety
proceduresarefollowed,injurycan
result.AskanAuthorizedMazda
Dealerhowtosafelydisposeofanair
bagorhowtoscrapanairbag
equippedvehicle.
Theairbagsinflate.
