WARNING
HotAirBagInflators:
Hotairbaginflatorsaredangerous.Immediatelyafterinflation,theinflatorsinthe
steeringwheel,dashboard,seatbacks,orthefrontandrearwindowpillarsandalong
theroofedgeareveryhot.Youcouldgetburned.Don'ttouchtheinternalcomponents
oftheairbagmodulesafterthebagshaveinflated.
InstallationofFront-EndEquipment:
Installationoffront-endequipment,suchasfrontalprotectionbar(kangaroobar,bull
bar,pushbar,etc.),snowplow,orwinches,isdangerous.Theairbagcrashsensor
systemcouldbeaffected.Thiscouldcauseairbagstoinflateunexpectedly,oritcould
preventtheairbagsfrominflatingduringanaccident.Frontoccupantscouldbe
seriouslyinjured.Neverinstallanyfront-endequipmenttoyourvehicle.
SuspensionAdjustment:
Adjustingthevehiclesuspensionisdangerous.Ifthevehicle'sheightorthe
suspensionischanged,thevehiclewillbeunabletoaccuratelydetectacollision
resultinginincorrectorunexpectedairbagdeploymentandthepossibilityofserious
injuries.
ModificationoftheSupplementalRestraintSystem:
Modifyingthecomponentsorwiringofthesupplementalrestraintsystemis
dangerous.Youcouldaccidentallyactivateitormakeitinoperable.Don'tmakeany
modificationstothesupplementalrestraintsystem.Thisincludesinstallingtrim,
badges,oranythingelseovertheairbagmodules.Italsoincludesinstallingextra
electricalequipmentonornearsystemcomponentsorwiring.AnAuthorizedMazda
Dealercanprovidethespecialcareneededintheremovalandinstallationoffront
seats.Itisimportanttoprotecttheairbagwiringandconnectionstoassurethatthe
bagsdonotaccidentallydeploy,thedriverseatslidepositionsensorandfront
passengerseatweightsensorsarenotdamagedandthattheseatsretainan
undamagedairbagconnection.
NOTE
Whenanairbagdeploys,aloudinflationnoisecanbeheardandsomesmokewillbe

released.Neitherislikelytocauseinjury,however,thetextureoftheairbagsmay
causelightskininjuriesonbodypartsnotcoveredwithclothingthroughfriction.
ShouldyousellyourMazda,weurgeyoutotellthenewownerofitsairbagsystems
l
andthatfamiliarizationwithallinstructionsaboutthem,fromtheOwner'sManual,is
important.
