wheellugnuts,oneoneachwheelwill
lockthetiresandyoumustuseaspecial
keytounlockthem.Thiskeyisattached
tothelugwrenchandisstoredwiththe
sparetire.Registerthemwiththelock
manufacturerbyfillingoutthecard
providedinthegloveboxandmailingit
intheaccompanyingenvelope.Ifyoulose
yourkey,consultanAuthorizedMazda
Dealerorusethelockmanufacturer's
orderform,whichiswiththeregistration
card.
1. Removedirtandgrimefromthe
mountingsurfacesofthewheeland
hub,includingthehubbolts,witha
cloth.

RemovingDirtandGrimefrom
Wheels,HubsandHubBolts:
Whenchangingorreplacingatire,
notremovingdirtandgrimefromthe
mountingsurfacesofthewheel,hub
andhubboltsisdangerous.Thelug
nutscouldloosenwhiledrivingand
causethetiretocomeoff,resultingin
anaccident.Makesurethemounting
surfacesofthewheel,hubandlug
nutsarecleanbeforechangingor
replacingtires.
Toremoveanantitheftlugnut
1.

Getthekeyforthelockinglugnut.
Placeitontopofthenut,andbesure
toholdthekeysquaretoit.Ifyouhold
thekeyatanangle,youmaydamage
bothkeyandnut.Don'tuseapower
impactwrench.

Mountthesparetire.
3.
Placethelugwrenchontopofthekey
andapplypressure.Turnthewrench
counterclockwise.
Toreplacethenut
1.
2.
Placethekeyontopofthenut.
Placethelugwrenchontopofthekey,
applypressure,andturnitclockwise.
