windshield.Otherwisethelight
sensorwillnotoperatecorrectly.
WARNING
XenonFusionBulbReplacement:
Replacingthexenonfusionbulbsby
yourselfisdangerous.Becausethe
xenonfusionbulbsrequirehigh
voltage,youcouldreceiveanelectric
shockifthebulbsarehandled

incorrectly.Donotreplacethexenon
fusionbulbsbyyourself.Consultan

replacementisnecessary.
Thelightsensoralsoworksasarain

sensorfortheauto-wipercontrol.
Whenthewiperleverisinthe
AUTOpositionandtheignition
switchisintheONposition,the
wipersmaymoveautomatically.Be
carefulnottopinchhandsorfingers
asitmaycauseinjury,ordamagethe
wipers(page5-47).
NOTE
Iftheheadlightsflash,orthebrightness
weakens,thebulb-lifemaybedepleted
andareplacementisnecessary.Consult
anAuthorizedMazdaDealer.

Iflightsareonandthekeyisremoved
fromtheignitionswitch,abeepsound
willbeheardwhenthedriver'sdooris
opened.
NOTE
Whentheheadlightswitchisinthe

AUTOpositionandtheignition
switchisturnedtotheACCor
LOCKposition,theheadlightsand
otherexteriorlightswillturnoff.
Thetimingforturningonthe

headlightsandotherexteriorlights
canbedelayedbyadjustingthe
sensitivityofthelightsensor.
